Carriglea Cáirde Services has 12 Rehabilitative Training places. The programme is based in the Anne Le Roy Centre in Dungarvan town. Referral are made annually from local schools and the Waterford Disability Services Department.
During the 3 year programme participants are supported and encouraged to sample various activities and are facilitated to partake in various training programmes and employment options. Independence is encouraged particularly in life skills and social skills. Participants are encouraged to transition and progress towards full independence whenever possible. Where this is not achieved supports are provided in a person centred way via our day services.
With the support of the HSE the Rehabilitative Training programme now has a more community based focus where participants are supported to explore, identify and develop valued social roles.
