Model Publication Scheme Procurement Process for Carriglea Cáirde Services

Procurement Process

The following processes apply to the awarding of contracts, depending on the value of the contract:

  • Less that €5,000: award contract on the basis of verbal or written quotes from competitive suppliers.
  • €5,000 – €25,000: award contract on the basis of written/email responses to specifications sent to at least three suppliers or service providers.
  • Over €25,000: award contract on the basis of clear evaluation criteria in line with more detailed specifications and advertise on eTenders website.

Quarter 2 of 2018

  1. Provision of Insurance Cover and Brokerage Services

Three year contract awarded in June 2018 to Arachas Corporate Brokers Ltd. T/A Arachas, Marine Point, Belview, Waterford X91 W0XW. Contract value €94,962.00. Insurance cover included material damage, business interruption, ICT, money, engineering, directors’ & officers’ professional indemnity and employment practices’ indemnity. Contract duration 36 months.

2. Fire Safety Works in St. Anne’s and Shalom, Carriglea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

Single contract awarded in April 2018 to Flavin Brothers Construction Ltd., Ballymacmague, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Contract value €16,180 ex VAT. Works included removal of existing internal doors and frames, installation of new fire doors and frames and painting and decorating.

Quarter 3 of 2018

  1. Refurbishment of and Alterations and Extension to the Gate Lodge, Carriglea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Single contract awarded in August 2018 to S&K Carey, Ballykinsella, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Contract value €220,884.60 ex VAT. Works include construction of a new extension, new car park, new access point, new heat recovery and ventilation system, refurbishment and alterations to existing building. A Request for Tenders was published on www.etenders.gov.ie on 19th July 2018.

Quarter 2 of 2017

  1. Fire safety works at St. Francis’, Carriglea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Single contract awarded in July 2017 to Flavin Brothers Construction Ltd., Ballymacmague, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Contract value €36,701 ex VAT. Works included fire separation & compartmentation; installation of fire doors & frames; new L1 fire detection & alarm system; new emergency lighting system; and alterations to a bathroom. Works were completed in 3 weeks.

    2. Sunroom extension to connect Oaklands and Beechview, Carriglea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Single contract awarded in August 2017 to Flavin Brothers Construction Ltd., Ballymacmague, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Contract value €67,182 ex VAT. Works included construction of a new sunroom, electrical & mechanical services, and footpaths & external drainage. Works were completed in 4 months.

    3. Provision of Insurance Cover and Brokerage Services

Single contract awarded in June 2017 to Arachas Corporate Brokers Ltd. T/A Arachas, Marine Point, Belview, Waterford X91 W0XW. Contract value €29,288.06. Insurance cover included material damage, business interruption, ICT, money, engineering, directors’ & officers’ professional indemnity and employment practices’ indemnity. Contract duration 12 months.

Quarter 4 of 2017

  1. Fire Safety works at 1 An Cluain, Youghal Road, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

Single contract awarded in December 2017 to New Line Enterprises Ltd. T/A Terra Nua Building Contractors, 33 Main Street, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Contract value €39,753 ex VAT. Works include improvement of means of escape; fire separation & compartmentation; installation of fire doors & frames; upgrade of fire detection & alarm system; and a new emergency lighting system.

    2. Provision of Internal Audit Services

Mini competition run under the OGP’s framework for the Provision of Accounting, Audit and Financial Services. Contract awarded in December 2017 to Crowleys DFK, 16/17 College Green, Dublin 2. Contract value €35,650 ex VAT. Internal audit services to be provided over 3 years. Contract to run for 36 months, extendable for a further 12 months.

   3. Supply of 9 Seater Minibuses fitted with side step and grab rails

Single contract awarded in December 2017 to Gowan Distributors Ltd., Gowan House, Naas Road, Dublin 12. Contract value €66,890 including VAT. Contract for the supply and delivery of two Peugeot Expert Combi 9 Seater Minibuses fitted with side step and grab rails. Contract duration 8 months to include an optional extension to increase the quantity by a further two vehicles to four in total.
